Description:
The Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club (MPBGC) offers after-school programs and full-day summer, winter and spring camps to San Mateo County youth ages 6 to 18. Daily programs include comprehensive curricula provided within the following Core Enrichment Program Areas: 1)Homework Assistance and Tutoring; 2)Education; 3)Technology; 4)Multi-Cultural Arts; 5)Health and Life Skills; 6)Physical Fitness and Sports; 7)Social Recreation and Team-building; 8)Elective Classes and Special Events/Activities which include guest speakers, field trips, birthday and holiday celebrations; as well as elective classes led by staff and volunteers.

History:
Since 1953, the MPBGC has provided disadvantaged youth with challenging and interactive activities within a safe, structured environment during after-school hours, school-breaks and intersessions. All educational, social and recreational programs and activities are led by youth development professionals that encourage a positive self-identity while fostering a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness and influence by building self-esteem and self-confidence. Our organization is part of a national affiliation of over 3,900 Boys & Girls Club facilities that began in 1860 and now serves over 4.6 million girls and boys across the country. We operate three clubhouses through-out San Mateo County: North East San Mateo (San Mateo Clubhouse), North Central San Mateo (College Park Clubhouse) and the Bayshore District - Daly City (DeLue Clubhouse).
