The Green Festival is a 3-day event, November 14-16, 2008, co-produced by Global Exchange and Co-op America committed to the movement towards a just and sustainable society. Green Festival seeks over 1,300 volunteers for our event.
Description:
At the Green Festivals, we're celebrating what's working in our communities, for people, for businesses and for the environment. Here, green means safe, healthy communities and strong, local economies. Green is the color of hope, of social and economic justice, of ecological balance.
History:
Green Festival began in San Francisco seven years ago and has since added cities throughout the country, including Washington DC, Chicago, Seattle, and in 2009 Denver.
