Project FIN ( Families In Need)

Project F.I.N. is a community based organization, located in the San Francisco Bay Area, which was founded for the purpose of assisting families with children in times of crisis. The emphasis is on assisting families with the help of community members through a reciprocal self-help relationship. The basis of maintaining a thriving, healthy community is maintaining thriving, healthy families, and, we, at Project F.I.N, are dedicated to that cause.
Description:
The goal of Project F.I.N. is to provide support to these struggling families through a network of dedicated community members who have vested interests in maintaining healthy communities. Project F.I.N. strives to provide not only financial support, but emotional support and access to information regarding available jobs, affordable housing, etc
History:
Project Families In Need job referral program has over 400 clients, and has placed 60% to work in our communities. On May 23, 2006 Project F.I.N. was presented with a Proclamation from the City of San Francisco thanking Project F.I.N. for all their work. As of this date 20% of our families have been adopted, and one of our adopted families received a car Project F.I.N. is Happy to announce the opening of our Clean & Sober Women’s Home located @ 1221 Newhall Street, in the Bayview District. The Rose Home has 18 beds and a recreation room for visiting family members. We house ex-offenders male & female trying to get their life back on track helping them find jobs and other resources.
