The Redwoods, A Community of Seniors, is a non-sectarian, not-for-profit organization originally founded and sponsored by the Community Church of Mill Valley. Our mission is to maintain a creative, affordable community that promotes good health, well being and security for a diverse group of elders. We will respond to individual physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs and will foster dignity, usefulness and opportunities to grow. At The Redwoods and beyond, we will work to transform attitudes and practices so that aging is recognized as a vibrant phase of renewal, discovery, service and choices.

Description:
With four levels of care, residents may enjoy a one bedroom apartment, a studio with all meals and housekeeping, assistance with daily activities and medications or skilled nursing. All housing and services are provided on a month-to-month, rental basis, with no up-front accommodation fee or life care contract.

History:
Founded over 35 years ago as non-sectarian housing for seniors, providing 60 units of HUD, Section 8 affordable housing within our community of 330 plus residents. The Redwoods is made up of 15 connected one to three story buildings a lovely ten acre campus in Mill Valley.

Directions:

101 N or S, exit Mill Valley, E. Blithedale, travel west, thru 1 stop light, turn left (south) at 2nd light onto Camino Alto. Follow Camino Alto south to where it ends at Miller Ave. (across from Tam High School), do a U-Turn back on to Camino Alto heading north for 1/2 block and park on the street or turn right into The Redwoods parking lot.
