Sanctuary for Birth and Wellness envisions a thriving community through gentle birth and open-hearted healthcare for all women. Our mission is to promote the physical, emotional, and social, health of the community through responsive and humane birth and wellness care that affirms the inner wisdom of women and families.

Description:
Sanctuary will offer an inviting place for families to learn, commune, give birth, and choose healthcare services. We see a healthier community and a more harmonious world because babies are born gently and families become responsible partners in decisions affecting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Women receive care along a continuum from pre-adolescence through menopause and beyond. Sanctuary operates as a non-profit because we believe our services should be available to families of all origins and socio-economic status.

History:
Sanctuary for Birth and Wellness is currently operating as a fiscally sponsored project of the South Bay non-profit Bay Area Birth Information. We are in the process of obtaining our own non-profit status, putting together our business plan, and building our board.
