Peaceful World Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a culture of global peace through the promotion of World Conversations and educational activities that bring together people with diverse worldviews. The more connected people are to each other, the more synchronized and peaceful the planet becomes.
Description:
Our world is in turmoil; we risk destroying ourselves and everything we hold dear. We are a globally-connected species and yet communication is often difficult and unproductive. We need to revive the process of conversation and listening - learning to those who are like us and especially those who are not like us. Peaceful World Foundation connects travelers from everywhere with locals and is committed to serving anyone who wants to learn of practice peace-building conversation skills and relationships to increase their effectiveness in making changes in the World.
History:
Peaceful World founder, Dr. Sami Sunchild began her "service founded on love" in 1978 and has welcomed over 200,000 guests to her Red Vic Peace Center and B & B since that time. Having studied the effects of tourism in fifty countries, she is committed to enabling independent travelers to become involved in understanding and bettering the lives of local peoples. It is important that all of us who want a better world can find places to connect whenever and wherever we travel.
