"I Have A Dream" East Palo Alto

Last updated on October 29, 2008

"I Have A Dream" - East Palo Alto is a long-term educational support program that motivates and empowers youth from low-income communities to reach their academic, career and personal goals.

Description:
In September 2001, "I Have A Dream" - East Palo Alto adopted the 1st grade at Costano Elementary School. "I Have A Dream" provides these Dreamers with tutoring, mentoring, after-school and summer programs, field trip and enrichment activities, and many other types of support. When the Dreamers graduate from high school, "I Have A Dream" will provide some financial assistance to help Dreamers pay for college, university, or accredited vocational school.

We are currently looking for tutors for the homework component of our after-school program, which occurs on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4-5pm. These tutors are essential for enabling our students to effectively complete their homework and be successful in school. It's also a very fun way to positively contribute to kids' lives.
