KAISER PERMANENTE: Our cause is health. Our passion is service. We are here to make lives better.

Kaiser Permanente-Redwood City exists to provide affordable, accessible, high quality health care services and to improve the health of our members and the communities we serve.

Redwood City Medical Center – Volunteer Services Department: The mission of our Volunteer Services Department is to provide customer-focused programs, services and member amenities, and to contribute to the health and well-being of our members and staff, by making volunteer opportunities available. Through various community service-oriented opportunities at KP-Redwood City, our volunteers gain practical experience in a health care setting, acquire new skills, and make new friends.

Our volunteers are an important part of why we have become one of the highest rated health care organizations today. Would you like to be one of our VOLUNTEERS?

KP-Redwood City Volunteers: Our volunteers work from three to four hours each week, with a six-month commitment. While on duty, they wear distinctive peach or blue jackets. They are dependable, generous in spirit, and dedicated members of the KP family.

Our volunteers ensure that our facilities are welcoming places and offer compassion and support in the following areas: Ambulatory Surgery Clinic, Blood Pressure Services, Gift Shop, Health Education, Health Science Library, Information Desk, Pastoral Care, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Peer Group, and Surgical Waiting Room.

BENEFITS: Our volunteers benefit from the discounts offered to them at the Gift Shop, pharmacy, optical center, and Health Education store and classes. They also have access to the Employee Gym. Annual volunteer recognition and appreciation events are also held in their honor.
