The San Francisco Education Fund works to improve the quality of teaching and learning in San Francisco public schools so that all students in this diverse community have the education necessary for full participation in the economic, civic, and cultural life of our society.
Description:
The San Francisco Education Fund's programs are bridging the gap between the community and the classroom to ensure that every student and teacher in the San Francisco public education system has the resources they need to thrive. The Ed Fund invests in our schools through grants made directly to public school teachers; professional learning communities for educators; peer education and support groups for middle and high school students; and a special initiative supporting community engagement around quality teaching and learning.
History:
For over 26 years, the Ed Fund's programs have helped SF public schools by: Awarding over $7,000,000 in grants directly to teachers; serving more than 750,000 students; and providing resources to over 16,000 educators.
