The mission of Galileo Educational Services is to provide opportunities for young people to discover and pursue their passions.
Description:
Galileo works with premier organizations such as The Tech Museum of Innovation, the de Young Museum and Klutz, to develop unique summer enrichment programs that influence the lives of thousands of children and hundreds of educators in more than 20 communities across the Bay Area. While our different programs offer unique features, the common denominator is excellent curriculum delivered by energetic professionals in a fun environment. Through a series of enrichment programs for kids entering Kindergarten through 8th grades, Galileo works with kids at each stage in their development, helping them build the confidence to imagine new things and communicate their own ideas, while gaining knowledge in subject areas they are passionate about. Kids who grow up with Galileo foster a keen ability to collaborate, innovate and express themselves creatively. Galileo’s success is based on consistently attracting outstanding summer staff members. Whether you are a seasoned classroom teacher, a graduate student in education, a college student interested in working with kids, or a high school student looking to build leadership skills, Galileo has roles that will help you:
- DISCOVER & PURSUE your own passions – while inspiring kids and colleagues to do the same
- GROW as an educator and leader through Galileo’s LEAD Program
- LEARN teaching techniques that will inspire and motivate kids
- BUILD an incredible, lasting camp legacy in your community
- IMPACT Galileo’s future programs and campers with your creativity and input
- EXPERIENCE the summer of a lifetime through meaningful friendships and a rewarding camp position
History:
Galileo Educational Services was founded in 2002 in Palo Alto, CA. Since then Galileo has expanded to having 21 Summer Camps in the Bay Area, including The Tech Summer Camps, Galileo Summer Quest, and Camp Galileo.
