Our mission at Wesley Youth Homes, Inc. is to empower teen girls, who have been removed from their families and placed into the foster care program. Wesley Youth Homes' overall goal is to help our girls develop life skills and to prepare them to participate successfully in our communities as an adult.
Description:
The girls in our care must overcome an adverse history to rebuild hopes and dreams. Having suffered physical, emotional and sexual abuse as well as severe neglect, our residents possess diverse needs. Wesley provides 24 hours per day, 7 days per week supervised care for girls ages 10-17. Our social services group offers both individual and group therapy, job preparation, and other life skills development. The educational program assures optimal school placement and tutoring. The girls may also engage in many activities that enhance personal and social skills.
History:
Wesley Youth Homes, Inc. was founded in 1997 to provide care for high risk teen girls. Over the years, we have had as many as 3 homes, however due to state budget cuts, we now operate only one home. There are 6 residents at any given time. The quality of care and services we give to our residents is our top priority.
