We at Rising Sun Energy Center are committed to building a world where we improve the quality of life for all of the world’s people without increasing the use of our natural resources beyond the earth’s carrying capacity.

History:
Rising Sun Energy Center (RSEC), a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, was founded in Santa Cruz, California in 1994. The primary objective of RSEC was to provide a demonstration site and education center for renewable energy and conservation techniques.

In 2000, RSEC moved to Berkeley, California and expanded its objectives to include both education and direct services. Our programs now include:

Direct installation of efficiency hardware and renewable technology in residences

Training and employment of young people ages 14-22 years old as Energy Specialists
