Camp Jones Gulch provides high-quality camping and outdoor education experiences in an attractive natural environment and enriches people's lives through character development.

Description:
Our facility sleeps 400 participants and is busy throughout the year. Participants will enjoy well-balanced meals, heated cabins and a wide variety of programs including climbing tower, hiking, canoes, zip line and archery. During the summer we also include swimming and horseback riding.

Financial assistance is available to participants who qualify.

We utilize volunteers in a variety of capacities including office assistance, maintenance, gardening, painting, assisting with horses (summer only), and as volunteer trip leaders on Yosemite backpacking trips.

History:
The YMCA of San Francisco started offering resident camping for youth in the Bay Area in 1897. In 1934, the current site was selected. Partnerships with the San Mateo and San Joaquin County Offices of Education have resulted in nearly 10,000 5th and 6th graders annually attending science camp for 40 and 50 years respectively.
