Camp Jones Gulch builds strong kids, strong families and strong communities through resident camp programs for youth, families and groups set in a natural outdoor environment.

Description:
Our facility sleeps 400 participants and is busy throughout the year. Participants will enjoy well-balanced meals, heated cabins and a wide variety of programs including climbing tower, hiking, canoes, zip line and archery. During the summer we also include swimming and horseback riding.

Financial assistance is available to participants who qualify.

We utilize volunteers in a variety of capacities including office assistance, maintenance, gardening, painting, assisting with horses (summer only), and as volunteer trip leaders on Yosemite backpacking trips.

History:
The YMCA of San Francisco started offering resident camping for youth in the Bay Area in 1897. In 1934, the current site was selected. Partnerships with the San Mateo and San Joaquin County Offices of Education have brought nearly 6,000 5th and 6th graders to camp for 40 and 50 years respectively.
