Aging And Disability Resource Center

Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco (ECS) helps homeless and very low-income people every day and every night obtain the housing, jobs, shelter, and essential services that each person needs to prevent and end homelessness.

Description:
Episcopal Community Services has established The Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC), opening as the primary resource center for the aging and disabled population of San Francisco, with currently 15 outstations throughout the city. ADRC is coordinating to promote healthy living and prevent homelessness for the low-income aging and younger disabled community through providing information and referral services in over 7 languages, working to ensure that consumers know their rights and improving their access to resources.

History:
The complex nature of homelessness calls for a multi-faceted solution. Our agency was founded in 1983 to help the growing number of people living on the streets of San Francisco. Today we serve more than 6,000 homeless and low-income men, women and children through a continuum of services, including emergency shelters and means; permanent housing; and education, vocation and employment services.
