Growth and Learning Opportunities (GLO) mission is to provide quality childcare services to school age children. GLO strives to create a safe and challenging environment where children are encouraged to pursue new and familiar interests, and develop confidence in themselves and respect for others.
Description:
The agency serves of 600 children and families on the daily basis. The socio-economic level of the families vary widely; the programs locations are at a cross-section of SF.
Programs are located at: Alice Fong Yu Alternative School, Alvarado Elementary School, Fairmount Elementary School, and West Portal Elementary School.
History:
GLO has been providing safe and quality before and after school programs since 1982. GLO operates four before and after-school programs in local SF public schools. Two of the sites are nationally accreditted and all the programs are licensed by the state of California.
