Our mission is to create a world without Alzheimer's and to enhance the quality of life for those who live with it. The Association funds research, provides information, referrals, support services and advocacy opportunities for families and caregivers dealing with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia. We serve all Bay Area counties.

Description:
The Alzheimer's Association is a national movement to defeat Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Research is the key to creating a world without Alzheimer's disease and the Association remains steadfast in its ongoing commitment to supporting the best and most innovative research. Until we can create a world without Alzheimer's disease, we will organize to support persons affected with AD and their families.

History:
The Alzheimer's Association was founded in 1980 by family members and health care professionals. The Northern California chapter is one of 80 chapters nationwide, whose mission is to find a cure for AD and to foster the support of families and loved ones.
