The mission of the Hearing and Speech Center is to enable individuals of all ages and backgrounds who are hard-of-hearing or deaf or who have speech/language disorders to participate fully in their families, schools, workplaces, and communities.

Description:
The Hearing and Speech Center helps individuals through a variety of services regardless of their ability to pay. Our services include: audiology, speech pathology, individual counseling, family support, a school for young children with hearing loss, and afterschool programs for children and youth with hearing loss.

History:
The Hearing and Speech Center has a history of over 90 years and has evolved over the years as technology and social attitudes around hearing loss have changed over the years. The Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California is the result of the merger of the Hearing Society for the Bay Area and the San Francisco Hearing and Speech Center.
