Holy Family Day Home provides affordable, high quality early educational child care in a stable and nurturing environment, thereby offering the children of working families a sound foundation for lifelong development, and continuing a tradition established by the Sisters of the Holy Family.

Description:
Currently, at our Dolores Street site we care for over 100 children (2 to 6 years old) in our preschool and kindergarten programs. Our Minna Street site, operated in partnership with Episcopal Community Services, focuses on the needs of children from 3 to 24 months of age and serves 21 children. As the oldest child care center in San Francisco, Holy Family Day Home continues to pioneer quality early childhood education and development for 170 children. The Day Home strives to unlock the unique spirit of each child. In today’s environment of ethnic diversity and economic vulnerability, our skilled staff continues to assist every child to develop positive self-esteem, a strong problem-solving capacity, and an enduring desire to learn.

History:
Holy Family Day Home is San Francisco’s oldest early educational childcare center. We’ve been a “home away from home” for more than 15,000 children since 1900. Our highest priority is to help children develop positive self-esteem.
