IDEX promotes sustainable solutions to poverty by providing long-term grants and access to resources for locally-run organizations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Description:
IDEX works with 22 partners and grantees in Guatemala, Mexico, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, South Africa and Zimbabwe that are creating lasting solutions to poverty in their communities. They work on women’s rights, civil rights, and human rights. And build local economies by: protecting their environment, creating food security, promoting local leadership, and involving the whole community in these initiatives.
The issues we work on include food security, indigenous people’s rights, labor issues, microcredit, HIV/AIDs, women’s empowerment, and youth action.
