Seven Tepees Youth Program is a nonprofit, community-based organization that provides comprehensive services to young people ages 11-18 in San Francisco. Our mission is to work with urban youth entrusted to our care to foster the skills they need to make lifelong, positive choices and create their own opportunities for success.

Description:
Seven Tepees serves youth ages 11-18. Our agency offers a varied array of programs and services designed to build life skills, support academic success, and foster community and environmental stewardship. Youth join Seven Tepees in the sixth grade, and stay with the program through high school. A college and career curriculum and a scholarship fund help youth create options for success as they move toward adulthood.
Seven Tepees youth participate in all aspects of the program: the after-school learning center, mentor program, outdoor resource program, job training, and community activities. In addition, Seven Tepees offers counseling and case management services for youth and their families.

History:
Seven Tepees was founded in 1995 by Judge Daniel Weinstein and Native American Leader Hully Fetico, who have more than 55 years of combined experience working with inner-city youth. The organization has grown from a summer environmental education camp to a year-round program offering comprehensive services for youth and families. The name Seven Tepees represents the diversity of the seven continents, the seven directions, and the Native American tradition of caring for the land.
