We provide training and employment solutions to disabled and industrially injured individuals leading to self-sufficiency, enhanced self-confidence and maximized potential.
Description:
SFVS provides vocational training and employment services to disabled and low-income youth and adults. Our programs are open entry/exit. Participants complete services when they have obtained competitive employment, or their skills have reached a pre-determined level. SFVS is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Training courses are also approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education. SFVS programs we offer:
An important first step in exploring employment potential. Testing helps participants determine skill levels, explore occupational interests and employment options.
- Computer& Office Skill Training:
Computer Plus is an 18-24 week computer and office skills training program designed to prepare graduates for entry-level employment in the business office and clerical fields. The program provides individualized training through one of three tracks: Basic, General, and Advanced Office Skills training.
Job Placement Services teach participants critical job seeking skills and provides assistance in preparing cover letters and resumes. Participants are supported with job leads in their chosen field and help in making direct contact with prospective employers.
History:
The Rehabilitation Services of Northern California (RSNC) was incorporated in 1949 as a private, non-profit, 501 (c)3 organization. The mission "To promote the dignity and independence of people with disabilities".
