Founded in 1938, Stern Grove Festival is the oldest admission-free performance arts festival of its kind in America. As part of a Bay Area summer tradition spanning seven decades, tens of thousands gather at the 33-acre, city-owned Stern Grove to enjoy live Sunday afternoon concerts al fresco in a natural amphitheater.
