The Sunset Neighborhood Beacon Center (SNBC) is a unique partnership of youth and adults joined together to strengthen the neighborhood. SNBC provides supports and opportunities to ensure the healthy development of children, youth and adults in the Sunset community.
Description:
SNBC serves more than 750 children and youth each day by providing free afterschool programming at five local elementary and middle school sites. Additionally, SNBC offers youth and adult programs at its storefront community center. SNBC is a nationally recognized leader for providing high quality afterschool and community technology programs.
History:
SNBC was founded in 1996, and is currently the largest of eight Beacon Centers in San Francisco.
