Volunteers are trained to be docent naturalists who will lead guided walks through the the Elephant Seal Rookery during the breeding season and act as "roving naturalists" doing interpretive work with the public during the rest of the year. If you are a nature lover, this is a great way to learn more, spend time in one of the most beautiful parts of the California coast, get exercise and fresh air, meet all kinds of interesting people and make your own unique contribution to conservation and promoting ecological literacy. The training program begins in September.
