History:
Quest began after a demonstrated need for community-based tutorial programs became apparent in the East Palo Alto community. While students receive classroom instruction at the District level, few formalized after-school academic-based programs existed within East Palo Alto. Beginning in 1999, the San Mateo County Library System established the Quest Learning Center as a program of the East Palo Alto Branch Library. The Quest program continues today, serving the community as an academic program offering students individualized tutoring, homework assistance, and skills-building during the academic school year.
