Founded in 1977, Senior Coastsiders has become the focal point for services for seniors and adults with disabilities on the coastside. We strive to create an atmosphere that acknowledges and affirms the value, dignity and self-worth of the people we serve by supporting their independence and encouraging their involvement in the community.
Description:
The services we offer include information and referrals, transportation, classes, trips and speakers, volunteer services and opportunities, Meals on Wheels, free help with minor home repairs, case management services, and hot lunches served in our dining center. We have over 200 volunteers, from age 14 to 90, helping us to deliver these services.
Senior Coastsiders is funded by private donations, San Mateo County Aging & Adult Services, San Mateo County Housing & Community Services, and the Next-to-New Thrift Store.
