WOMAN, Inc. is dedicated to empowering domestic violence survivors to create lives free of violence. Our ultimate goal is to abolish domestic violence by promoting a violence free society through advocacy, education, and public policy. We offer domestic violence survivors a 24-hour multilingual crisis line and culturally sensitive support programs.

Description:
Training and Education
We offer state-required 40-hour domestic violence training. We also provide training and education to community organizations and schools.

Latina Program
Monolingual Spanish speaking women are offered support group, advocacy, case management, 24-hour bilingual crisis line services, and translation services.

Support Groups
We offer a safe environment for women to share their fears, anger, concerns, and goals with others in similar situations. We currently offer groups in Spanish and English.

Therapy
We offer ongoing individual therapy for women who are healing from the effects of domestic violence, and family therapy for women and their children. Marriage and Family Therapy Interns and Trainees are supervised by a licensed psychotherapist. Low cost weekly sessions are based on a sliding scale.

24-Hour Crisis Line
Women in crisis situations can connect with advocates who provide crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and emergency referrals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

In-Office Advocacy
Women seeking information and support can obtain assistance during "walk-in" office hours from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

History:
