SF CARD works with human services agencies serving the vulnerable populations in San Francisco to ensure agency continuity after a disaster.
Description:
SF CARD assists agencies of various sizes to:
- Prepare for Disasters, increasing chances for survival.
- Provide continued service to their clients.
- Coordinate resources for long term recovery.
We accomplish this through training and mitigation services before a disaster.
History:
Since 1994, San Francisco CARD (Community Agencies Responding to Disaster) has provided extensive disaster preparedness training, on-site agency visits and has taken a variety of coordinating initiatives to support the capacity of local agencies and the vulnerable populations they serve.
