BayKids promotes creative self-expression by providing filmmaking, video editing, and broadcasting opportunities to children and teenagers at Bay Area hospitals.
Description:
By offering kids a fun and safe environment to express themselves and work together, BayKids helps build self esteem, teaches new skills, and improves children's lives.
History:
BayKids began as a community outreach program for the San Francisco Giants. In 1997, BayKids established independent nonprofit status. Today, BayKids continues to focus on serving disabled and underprivileged children in the Bay Area. BayKids provides children with a unique opportunity for enrichment. Our filmmaking program allows kids to explore their creativity while learning valuable teamwork and leadership skills. We are able to reach a diverse population through our partnership programs with Children's Hospital Oakland, UCSF Children's Hospital, and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.
