BayKids promotes creative self-expression for kids by providing filmmaking, broadcasting and innovative opportunities to children, many of whom are in need and have disabilities.
Description:
By offering kids a fun and safe environment to express themselves and work together, BayKids helps build self esteem, teaches new skills, and improves children's lives.
History:
BayKids began as a community outreach program for the San Francisco Giants. In 1997, BayKids established independent nonprofit status. Today, BayKids continues to focus on serving disabled and underprivileged children in the Bay Area. BayKids provides children with a unique opportunity for enrichment. Our film making program allows kids to explore their creativity while learning valuable teamwork and leadership skills. We are able to reach a diverse population through our partnership programs with Children's Hospital Oakland, UCSF, and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.
