BACF is committed to supporting safe and healthy home environments for children who face interruption or displacement of their primary care giver by providing psycho-educational and counseling services to children, parents, and other caregivers.

Description:
Bay Area Children First is a non-profit organization with offices in San Francisco and Berkeley. We offer Bay Area children and their families quality counseling, educational, and reunification support services at affordable rates.

Bay Area Children First (BACF) helps families in difficult circumstances to nurture their young children. Founded in 1994 by Berkeley psychotherapist Susan Regan, MFT, Bay Area Children First recently opened their new Berkeley offices at the intersection of Rose Street and Shattuck Avenue, with the purpose of providing Alameda County parents and children the same quality services it offers San Francisco families. The staff is composed of licensed clinicians and a select group of post-master interns who are supervised by licensed therapists. This professional mix gives families affordable yet highly targeted and focused support programs. The BACF staff counsel families separated by divorce, disease, death and internment. They also conduct psycho-educational classes, provide counseling services to government agencies, and manage court-mandated reunification programs. They also offer crisis/chronic counseling support and psycho-educational classes in school-based settings, provide counseling services to government agencies, and manage court-mandated reunification programs.
