We believe our mission includes assisting parents in the development of their children. Our school offers young children a setting in which to grow, to learn, and to develop spiritually, physically, intellectually, and socially.

Description:
It is with great pride that we begin our 29th year in the OMI community by celebrating the diversity of our wonderful world through the education of children ages 2.9 - 5 years of age at our pre-school. We also provide a safe haven and welcoming environment for children that are in kindergarten through 3rd grades in the afternoon. The Lutheran Church of Our Savior admits students students of any race, color, gender, national and ethnic origin. It does not discriminate on the basis of any race, color, gender, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, or admission policies.

Our programs:
The Bettye O. Simon-Johnson "Safe Haven" Afterschool Program was specifically designed for the underserved children in the OMI District that are currently in grades Kindergarten through 3rd. Much like this program's namesake, the late Mrs. Bettye O. Simon-Johnson, it is our intention to continue to help children to develop and strive to become better than their life circumstances. (We do offer school pick-ups for this program).

History:
The Lutheran Church of Our Savior Pre-School is celebrating our 29th year in the OMI community. We offer a dynamic education wiith an emphasis on curriculum (especially art and early childhood literacy), and program development in order to prepare our students to be successful as they begin their journey toward higher education.

We offer basic Spanish classes and Movement through Music Class for all of our students. We serve a Ethnically diverse population of students in our Kindergarten Readiness Class, we boast a 1:8 staff to student ratio, a year-round curriculum based upon the Montessori methodology, potty training assistance and we offer ESL instruction.
