Habitat Restoration and Trails Volunteers

Mt.Tamalpais Trail Days:
1st Saturday of Each Month, 9:00am-2:30pm
Help maintain trails on the Mt.Tamalpais watershed. Hike to along a beautiful trail and take pride in knowing that you helped to make it happen. Must be at least 16 years old. Contact (415) 945-1180 for details and location.

Roving Weeders:
3rd Thursday of Each Month, 9:00am–12:00pm
Travel to the interior Mt.Tamalpais Watershed, far from bathrooms, parking, and the general public. Look forward to planting natives in the winter season and taking on threatening invasive plants for the remainder of the year. Help protect some of the most sensitive and unique habitats on Mt.Tamalpais. Volunteers of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Contact (415) 945-1169 for details and location.

Weekend Warriors:
3rd Saturday of Each Month, 9:00am–12:00pm
Restore local ecosystems and habitat for native plants and animals. Plant natives during the late winter season and tackle some invasive plants during the rest of the year. Volunteers of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Group events can be scheduled! Contact (415) 945-1169 for details and location.

Special Events:

Check our website often for special volunteer events throughout the year. Also, MMWD can schedule a special habitat restoration event with your school, organization, or group. Please contact the Volunteer Program for more information. Contact (415) 945-1169 for details.

Locations of events will change monthly, dependent on the restoration needs. Please see our website www.marinwater.org or contact the Volunteer Program at (415) 945-1169 and volunteerprogram@marinwater.org for more details.

For each event MMWD will provide tools, gloves, water, parking access, and fun! Please wear layers, sturdy shoes, and long pants. We also recommend sunscreen or a hat for the summer days. All minors must be accompanied by an adult and groups are welcome!
