what people are saying. I cannot tell you how much help The Volunteer Center has been to us. We couldn't do it without you! A heartfelt thanks!

Why volunteer at Walden?

As a Walden School volunteer, you have an opportunity to give to and support a non-profit’s behind-the-scenes operations. Volunteers work in an energetic and fun office with other people who share a love for music and have a desire to make a difference in arts education. Feel free to visit our website www.waldenschool.org to find out more about the School and its programs.

Who should volunteer?

We are looking for personable, reliable individuals who are enthusiastic about Walden’s mission, want to make a difference in the lives of creative musicians, and who can help out with office-based projects. Individuals should be able to provide their own transportation to our office, which is located in San Francisco, near Mission and 29th streets - close to public transportation and plenty of all-day street parking.

What can I do to help?

Currently we are looking for volunteers who can help with light clerical and office work. Although there are currently limited volunteer opportunities, inquiries are always accepted.

How much time should I to give?

Ideally we are looking for individuals who can donate at least 2 hours once or twice a week, although we would gladly accommodate additional hours. We ask for a time commitment only as large as you wish to make, but that we be able to rely on you for that commitment.

How do I become a volunteer?

Please contact the Walden School’s Office Manager, Andrew Thams (Drew) at athams@waldenschool.org and provide a brief explanation of your interest in Walden. If available, please also attache a resume to this email. You can also reach Drew at the San Francisco office by calling (415) 648-4710. We will review your request, schedule a telephone interview, and if appropriate, arrange for you to come in and meet the office staff.
