Volunteer Opportunity Details:
Volunteer mentors needed to help struggling preschoolers learn to read. Jumpstart, a national non-profit, needs you to help San Francisco's low-income children get a good start in life. All you need is a love of children and a desire to give back to the community and we provide the rest. Just six hours a week can make an incredible difference to these bright and needy children. You serve on a team of volunteers for six hours per week. Training and a $100 per month stipend is provided. Contact Carol: 425-536-5867 ext. 108, and learn how you can change a child's life for the better. Email: carol.laughlin@jstart.org. Our 20-week program starts January 25 and ends June 25. You love young children, enjoy their energy and sweetness and want to give back to your community. Be prepared to commit to six hours a week for the 20 weeks of the program. This opportunity is sponsored by: Jumpstart For Young Children (Community Corps)
