There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available here on Angel Island. Everything from leading tours of historical sites to nature walks on the largest island in San Francisco Bay. Such activities as baking, gardening, cannoneering, office administration, maintenance and work in our newly relocated gift shop are also available. If you would like to start your day off with a boat ride and the most breathtaking views in the Bay, come and lend a hand as a volunteer at Angel Island State Park. If you have always wanted to volunteer on Angel Island, now is your chance! Come to an introduction and orientation session where you can get started on the required paperwork to become a full-fledged Volunteer at Angel Island State Park! This training and a Livescan are required for all volunteers. Please contact the park for upcoming Sign Up dates. Volunteers get free ferry rides on days they volunteer, have opportunities to stay overnight on the island and meet wonderful people from all over the world. Volunteers must sign a California State Park volunteer service agreement and some opportunties require a background check.
