Make a Difference - Tutor High School Students
Powered by Truist
Last updated on November 19, 2008

The focus of BTLC is in providing academic assistance and support to students in the Sequoia Union District High Schools that came from the Ravenswood District feeder schools. Research has shown that these students graduate at a very low rate, and that focused academic support that includes consistent tutoring does improve academic success.

This is where YOU can help! BTLC has expanded to Carlmont, Menlo-Atherton, Sequoia and Woodside high schools. We have tutoring sessions at each school Mondays - Thursdays from 2:30pm - 4:30pm, which vary slightly for each campus.

We're looking for tutors in the following subjects:

Algebra, Geometry, General Science, Spanish, History, Social Studies, and English.

We're looking for people who desire to help bridge the academic achievement gap, and have motivation to lend a helping hand to our diverse student population.

We're also looking for people with prior tutoring experience, and working with high school kids, or that are comfortable in that environment.

If you're bilingual in Spanish, or Tongan, that's also a plus.
