We are wrapping up our annual Rebuilding Weekend event (where we repair and renovate 18 homes & 17 facilities on the last weekend in April, engaging over 2,000 volunteers) and have a handful of projects to finish up. That day will be spent with a low-income family in the Richmond district - the couple have made their children a financial priority, and as a result have had to neglect the maintenance on their home. When we first visited the house, there was mold in the ceilings and walls due to a bad roof, which had affected the health of the entire family. We have already spent about a month here, including countless skilled volunteer hours, and we're aiming for the family to move back in by the end of the month. Be able to paint walls - we provide all supplies and instruction. This opportunity is sponsored by: Rebuilding Together San Francisco
