Volunteer Opportunity Details:
ASOs commit to work at least one-12 hour shift a week covering our helpline. ASOs are the first voice our clients hear when they call our toll free helpline. ASOs take initial information from the caller such as; name, phone number, and a brief description of the reason they called. They then pass this information to the helpline advocate who is on call. At present on a typical 12 hour daytime shift eight to ten calls come into the helpline. The ASO must take our 30 hour online helpline advocates training prior to working as a volunteer in this position, must work the minimum of one 12-hour shift per week, attend one tele-confrence per month and commit to 1 year of service. ![]() This opportunity is sponsored by: Domestic Abuse Helpline For Men And Women
