We are looking to fill a programming void for our children ages 3-5 years old. They are to young to enroll in the Boys and Girls Club and to be in most after school or summer programs, so what are they to do? We would love to have them romp around in our community room, create art, play music, or any other numerous activities right here on our premises. It would also give their tired parents a chance to learn financial management and parenting skills while their children get tired and play. The number of children served would range from 10-20 active children. The programming would be serving 2 low-income family buildings located in the Tenderloin neighborhood. If you are energetic, have a skills to teach our children or know someone who does, please contact us!
We would require a 4-6 month commitment for at least 5-10 hours a week. The volunteer needs to be able to present their programming ideas fully to us for approval before beginning. They will need to have a background check and get fingerprinted before starting. And of course they need to be reliable, creative, energetic, and motivated.
