 Crisis Counselor: Be a part of a community working for healing and social justice! San Francisco Women Against Rape (SFWAR)is seeking committed volunteers for: *hotline counseling *in-person counseling *medical accompaniment *community outreach *fundraising and administrative work SFWAR seeks people committed to: *supporting survivors of sexual assault *challenging all forms of oppression that contribute to gendered violence *developing valuable counseling, facilitation and leadership skills *working in multi-lingual communities Bicultural/Multilingual volunteers especially needed! Stipends available. Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural, Women of color, youth (+18), transgender and genderqueer, immigrant, elderly, queer, working class, and differently-abled individuals are encouraged to apply for participation in our volunteer trainings. You must be 18 or over to apply. Our next training begins in January 10rd, 2009 and ends March 8th, 2008.
