If you are a lover of the great outdoors, this is the place for you! Docents are trained as naturalist interpreters to lead guided tours through the Elephant Seal Rookery during the breeding season and act as "roving naturalists" during the rest of the year. We offer an extensive ten-week training program as well as on-going educational opportunities.Ano docents are always both learning and teaching. You also get to spend time in a jewel of the California coastline, get exercise and fresh air, meet all kinds of interesting people and make your own unique contribution to conservation and promoting ecological literacy. Participation in a comprehensive training program that begins each year in September. This is outdoor work involving a lot of walking in all kinds of weather conditions, and is a great way to stay fit! This opportunity is sponsored by: Ano Nuevo State Reserve
