 2-1-1 and United Way HELPLINK receive as many as 40,000 calls every year from Bay Area residents. You can help keep our call center fully staffed. Volunteers will benefit from the following: Valuable information and referral skills, Expanded knowledge of community resources, Advanced communication skills, Enhanced interpersonal skills, Networking opportunities, Flexible schedule when volunteering This is a United Way of the Bay Area (UWBA) volunteer opportunity.
Volunteers need to be work a minimum 8 hours a week (during office hours, M-F, 9-5) with 200 hours or six-month commitment. Attend trainings (Twelve hours professional training and extensive on-the-job training). This opportunity is sponsored by: United Way of the Bay Area - San Francisco
