Pacifica School Volunteers help students succeed in Pacifica's underfunded public schools. Volunteers work one-on-one or in small groups helping struggling students with reading, math or other subjects. Some volunteers help with classroom projects or the arts. Teachers provide support and materials for the volunteers. Students love working with volunteers because of the individual attention and caring assistance they receive. Teacher evaluations report volunteers really make a difference. Volunteers come to an orientation and submit fingerprints and TB tests (at no cost to the volunteer). Literacy and math trainings are available, but not required. This opportunity is sponsored by: Pacifica School Volunteers
