We are suing the Social Security Administration (SSA) on behalf of mentally disabled beneficiaries who had (or could, in the future) their benefits cut off for attempting to work despite their disability(ies). We are suing because SSA refuses to acknowledge the underlying disabilities and cuts off benefits before an appeal could be done.
We need people who are skilled in doing legal research or with federal litigation practices to volunteer. We would like to talk to volunteers who are lawyers (federal litigation experience preferable), contract attorneys, researchers, paralegals, legal secretaries, law students, etc.
This opportunity is sponsored by: People With Disabilities Foundation
We need volunteers who are free at these times
